Today might have been considered the “easiest” stage but with dead ass legs, it was still very much a struggle.

I had no zing at the beginning of the race. People were passing me and I just held my pace and cadence. We continued to climb what felt like forever until we finally hit Boreas Pass Road. I was able to latch on to two riders’ paceline which helped me make my way to the top of the pass.

Jamie and I descended (very cautiously) a trail with then lead to another long, dirt road. We pacelined to the top of Boreas Pass again then it was mostly downhill.

I rode cautiously today because I want to keep my remaining skin in tact. I was only off of first place by two minutes. I’ll take it.
